Goat Talk 2020

Driven by a desire to dis-assemble into non-living forms, Goat Talk re- imagines elements of personhood, the body, speaking, idiosyncratic action and attention as mutable territories

Using a microphone and a taxidermy goat; a wetsuit on a chair, a snorkel on the floor; and a large cardboard packing box, this work collapses the moment of death as a time scale, where the concept of stillness equaling death and movement equaling life unravels, entering a new eerie equilibrium of ghosting, hosting and housing form.

Goat Talk has been supported by residencies at Arts House, Hothouse Theatre, Lucy Guerin Inc 2019 and showings as part of Dance Massive Open Studio Program (Melbourne) and Dans Massan (Stockholm) 2020.
